Painted Doors & Painting Service

Spray-finished wardrobe doors, and a respray service for existing joinery

Beyond building new fitted wardrobes, we offer a dedicated painting and finishing service for wardrobe and joinery doors — both as part of a new build and as a standalone respray or refinish for existing joinery that's dated, chipped, or simply the wrong colour.

Painted Doors On New Joinery

Sprayed in-house for a smoother, more durable finish

When we manufacture new fitted wardrobes, doors and fronts are typically spray-finished in-house to a specified colour rather than painted by hand on site. Spray finishing gives a smoother, more consistent surface than site-painted joinery and is more durable against everyday knocks and handle marks.

  • Colour matching: any RAL reference, or matched to a physical sample
  • Sheen options: matt, satin or gloss
  • Finish types: standard spray lacquer, or higher-durability options for high-traffic areas

Respray & Refinishing Of Existing Doors

Often far cheaper than a full replacement

If your existing fitted wardrobe doors are sound but tired-looking — chipped edges, yellowed white paint, or a colour that no longer fits the room — we can remove, respray and rehang them without replacing the whole unit. This can be done off-site to avoid dust and fumes in the room itself.

  • MDF or timber panel doors in reasonable structural condition
  • Existing fitted wardrobes being redecorated as part of a wider room refresh
  • Rental or resale properties being refreshed between tenants/sale

How The Painting Process Works

From colour selection to rehanging

1. Colour/finish selection

RAL reference or sample match agreed.

2. Doors removed

For respray projects, or manufactured for new joinery.

3. Preparation

Sanding, filling and priming.

4. Spray finishing

Applied in controlled workshop conditions for a consistent, dust-free finish.

5. Rehanging

Doors refitted on site, hinges and runners checked and adjusted.

For Architects & Trade Projects

Colour and finish, specified consistently at scale

Colour and finish call-outs are one of the most common specification items we handle, and we can supply RAL/finish data sheets for inclusion in a specification document. For trade and developer projects covering multiple units, doors can be sprayed to a consistent finish across the full schedule.

Ask About Colour Matching

Have a colour or sample you need matched?

Send us a RAL reference or a physical sample and we'll confirm sheen options and turnaround.

Common Questions

What clients usually ask

  • Any RAL reference can be matched, and colour can also be matched to a physical sample.
  • Doors from other joinery suppliers can be resprayed, provided they're structurally sound.
  • A respray typically takes 1–2 weeks and is usually cheaper than a full wardrobe replacement.
